Regular events include Guest Speakers, film shows, BBQ's and quizzes.

COGS (Crashbox Old GrumpieS)

For those with perhaps a little more time on their hands a section admirably named COGS has grown into one of the best supported group activities.

Usually meeting at about 12 noon at some country pub for a lunch & a natter. Sometimes going on to visit a nearby attraction with a late afternoon meander home.

Club Stands

During the Summer we attend many of the local fetes, fairs and rallies with the Club Stand team. Why not come along to one of these events and meet up with some of our members.

Holidays

From small beginnings the Club Holiday calendar has grown into one of the best reasons for being a member. Superbly organised by various dedicated members these 'away trips' have over the last few years ventured further & further afield.

For 2008 there are holidays to Dorset, Ireland and Sussex and Switzerland in 2009

Bargain Break Weekends

These have proved to be very popular. The Spring Weekend Break at Tregenna Castle, St. Ives followed by the Autumn visit to The Bay Hotel, Newquay. Returning to Tregenna Castle for a Turkey & Tinsel weekend in November
Historic Vehicle Gathering

Now recognised to be the largest event of its type in the West Country and entirely organised by the Club.

Held over two days on a weekend in July at Powderham Castle, Kenton, near Exeter.

As all we probably now know this year's event was severly disrupted by the weather with the show being cancelled early on the Sunday.

Heres hoping that the 2009 event will be a little drier!

Other Activities

So that Members can make as much use as possible of their Classic Cars outings are occasionally arranged to local pubs for a Sunday Lunch Special or trips to various local attractions. So with this vast array of different opportunities to make use of your classic car the Crash Box & Classic Car Club has something to offer for everyone interested in enjoying cars from a 'bygone age'

Club Magazine

Full details of all forthcoming Club events can be found in the full colour A4 size Club Magazine issued free to all members in February, April, June, August, October & December. Reports and articles from Club Members are a regular feature along with photos from recent events and holidays
